Milton Town Council
Councillors are elected by the residents of the Town for a four-year term. Town Councillors represent each of the four Town wards and are responsible for making decisions around issues pertaining to Milton. Regional Councillors represent each of the four Town wards and in addition to being members of the Town Council, they also represent Milton as members of Halton Regional Council.

Kristina Tesser Derksen was born and raised in Milton. Married to a local business owner and a mother to four children, she is an avid baker, traveler, jazz music lover, history buff and space nerd. |
Work and volunteer experience |

Kristina is a practicing lawyer. Prior to attending law school at the University of Toronto, Kristina worked as a funeral director at McKersie Kocher Funeral Home on Main Street. |
