Biography |
Born in Pakistan, Adil moved to Canada with his family in 2000, and as a child - has always had a passion and ambition towards giving back to the community. Since 2012, Adil has been living in Milton - and very quickly realized how special this community is. Adil’s commitment towards community engagement and service goes back to when he was 10 years old, which is when he first began volunteering in the various communities he belongs to. Amassing 1000+ hours of volunteer work; Adil has, and continues to volunteer with numerous organizations such as; MADD Halton, Crime Stoppers, Food Banks, Charity Fundraisers, Political Campaigns and more. Following his graduation from Milton District High School in 2017, Adil continued his education at Mohawk College - where he completed Police Foundations & Advanced Police Studies. As Adil progressed in life, his passion for public service, and desire to make a difference in people’s lives, led him towards being hired on as a police officer. Adil is a proud member of the Brantford Police Service, and takes pride in the hard work that it takes to foster community safety and well-being. Adil hopes to add a perspective onto council that is rooted in public service and integrity, and further allows for a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion to be brought into the decision making process. Since he is both a police officer and councillor at a young age, Adil hopes that his positions result in other young people being motivated to become leaders in the community, and realize the potential that they have despite being young in age. |
