Walking and running tracks

Indoor tracks are available at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre and Milton Sports Centre.

Please note: Walking tracks may be closed on stat holidays; Mattamy National Cycling Centre walking track may be closed during special events at the facility. Make sure the email address on your account is up to date, as email reminders are sent periodically notifying members of upcoming closures.

The Mattamy National Cycling Centre track is closed from November 2024 to April 2025 during the below times:

  • Tuesday & Thursday from 7-8 p.m.
  • Wednesday & Friday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Membership and track access

  • Annual Passes are available for participants 14 years and older and can be purchased online with your recreation account
  • Participants 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult with an active membership
  • Milton Sports Centre’s walking track is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. To access the track, scan your active living annual pass card or your walking track pass card at the track entrance door.
  • Mattamy National Cycling Centre’s walking track is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily (with the exception of Tuesday and Thursday between 7-8 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday between 5:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • Please scan your active living annual pass card or your walking track pass card at the front desk before proceeding to the track.
  • Replacement pass cards can be purchased by visiting the customer service desk during customer service hours.

Inside lane – Walking: 182 m

Middle lane – Fast walking: 190 m

  • 5.25 laps = 1 km
  • 27 laps = 6 km

Outside lane –  Jogging: 191 m

Mattamy National Cycling Centre:

Inside lane – Running/jogging: 308 m

Middle lane –Jogging/fast Walking: 314 m

  • 3 laps = 942 m or approximately 1 km
  • 16 laps = 5024 m, or approximately 5 km

Outside lane – Walking: 319 m
