In accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, this is to advise that 2514351 Ontario Inc. has applied for a Local Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment.

The subject property is situated northwest of the intersection of Steeles Avene East and Harrop Drive. The subject property is located in Ward 2 and has an area of approximately 2.54 hectares. The property is legally described as Part Lot 1, Concession 4 in the Town of Milton and municipally identified as 475 Harrop Dr. The site is within the Town of Milton’s 401 Business Park Secondary Plan and designated as Business Park Area. The subject lands are split-zoned with the southern half zoned as Business Park (M1) and the northern half zoned as General Industrial (M2) in the Town’s Zoning By-law.

Applicant's Proposal

The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) is to establish a site-specific land use that accommodates the existing buildings and parking for a Truck Terminal and Motor Vehicle Repair Garage. The applications are solely for a change in use and no interior or exterior works are proposed on the subject site. Existing access will remain. The Planning Act requires that all complete applications be processed. The applications are now being circulated to Town Departments and Agencies for technical review. No decision has been made regarding this application.

During this review the applicant will be hosting a public information session to provide details of their proposed development. Notice of the Statutory Public Meeting will be given in accordance with the Planning Act requirements. The Statutory Public Meeting is where members of the public will be invited to obtain information, make a verbal presentation and/or written submission, to identify issues of concern and/or express views in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed application at the Statutory Public Meeting only.
