News release

Starting June 2024, the Town of Milton will be offering community volunteers, local organizations and Milton residents the opportunity to participate in the Adopt-a-Park program. This program aims to strengthen neighborhood pride and increase the overall aesthetics of our local parks, roads, and trails.

The Town of Milton places a high degree of importance on the maintenance of green spaces for all to enjoy. In addition to Town staff maintaining local parks, trails & roads, volunteer groups who participate in this new program can help expedite cleanup efforts and also feel a sense of pride of place.

How it works

Park, trail or road adopters will agree to host a spring and fall clean-up, and in return the Town of Milton will be providing volunteer groups with tools (garbage bags, gloves, safety tips…etc.) in order to perform these cleanups successfully and stay safe while doing so.

To adopt a park, road or trail in Milton please fill out the application form.

For inspiration on selecting local green spaces or roads to adopt, please visit our Parks and Trails webpage.

Visit the Adopt-a-Park webpage for more information about the program, application details and safety information.
