In accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, this is to advise that Mattamy (Brownridge) Limited has applied for a zoning by-law amendment.

Location

The 67 subject properties are situated in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Mattamy (Brownridge) Ltd. Bayview Lexus Development and include 67 properties

The subject property is located in Ward 3. The property is legally described as Part of Lot 7, Concession 5, NS Trafalgar in the Town of Milton and municipally identified as Lots 29 from Phase 1 (24T-20001) and Lots 300-303, 330-355, 358-369, 391-396, 406-415, 426-431, 486 and 487 from Phase 2 (24T-20001/B). The site is within the Boyne Survey Secondary Plan and is designated as Neighbourhood Centre Area. The subject lands are currently zoned as vacant in the Town’s Zoning By-law.

Applicant’s Proposal 

An application for a Zoning By-law Amendment has been submitted for the identified lots to permit the construction of 67 single-detached dwellings with two car garages. The amendment is required to permit a minimum dwelling face of 3.2 metres long as the garage face does not exceed 64% of the elevation, whereas a minimum of 3.3 metres dwelling face and a maximum 60% garage face are currently required. Impacted lots include Lot 29 from Phase 1 (24T-20001) and Lots 300-303, 330-355, 358-369, 391-396, 406-415, 426-431, 486 and 487 Phase 2 (24T-20001M/B).

Planning Act Requirements

The Planning Act requires that all complete applications be processed.  The applications are now being circulated to Town Departments and Agencies for technical review.  No decision has been made regarding this application.

During this review the Applicant will be hosting a public information session to provide details of their proposed development. 

Notice of the Statutory Public Meeting will be given in accordance with the Planning Act requirements.  The Statutory Public Meeting is where members of the public will be invited to obtain information, make a verbal presentation and/or written submission, to identify issues of concern and/or express views in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed application at the Statutory Public Meeting only.
