The Town of Milton is facilitating road work on Fifth Line from south of Main Street East to south of Derry Road. 

Road closures

Multiple full road closures of Fifth Line will be required in the summer and fall of 2023. Detour route traffic will be detoured via Main Street East, James Snow Parkway and Derry Road.

Some project highlights include:

  • Widening and urbanization of Fifth Line from a two-lane rural section to a four-lane urban section including on-street bike lanes and multi-use pathways.
  • Traffic signal modifications and/or installations at Yukon Court, Labrador Avenue and Derry Road.
  • Replacement of multiple road culvert crossings.
  • Storm sewer installation.
  • Installation of street lighting.

The Town of Milton is investing in community infrastructure to make your travel safe and accessible. We thank you for your patience. During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while traveling in and around construction areas.
