Construction notice

The Town of Milton has, in the recent past, been implementing an annual “Expanded Asphalt Program” with the intent of rehabilitating roads in a cost effective manner. The Burnhamthorpe Road Rehabilitation project will be similar and include the following within the scope of work.

Scope of work:

  • Road reconstruction and associated shouldering enhancements
  • Driveway transitions
  • Road crossing culvert relining and replacements

Burnhamthorpe Road from Regional Road 25 to Tremaine Road

Schedule

Start Date: June 2024

Completion: August 2024

Construction timelines are dependent on many factors, including weather.

Road Closures

In order to expedite the work, lane closures will occur daily, traffic delays are expected.

Access to all residences and emergency services will be maintained during construction. Staged closures may be required to facilitate work. Local residents will receive notices if a closure directly impacts them.

From May 27 at 7 a.m. to Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.:

  • Single lane closures

The Town of Milton is investing in community infrastructure to make your travel safe and accessible. We thank you for your patience. During construction, the public is encouraged to plan travel in advance, consider alternate routes, follow signage and be patient while traveling in and around construction areas.

Town-led construction is essential municipal work to ensure Milton’s infrastructure remains safe, in state of good repair and able to meet the community’s needs now and in the future.
