Application details
- Pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended, the Town of Milton is initiating amendments to its Official Plan and Zoning By-law to expand permissions for additional residential units (ARUs) on urban residential lots containing a detached house, semi-detached house or townhouse.
- The purpose and effect of the Official Plan Amendment is to establish policies permitting ARUs within the Town’s Urban Area, including provisions regarding public safety and other objectives of the Town.
- The purpose and effect of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to establish regulations and standards for ARUs that implement the policies of the Official Plan.

The community is invited to attend and participate in the statutory public meeting. This meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting with Members of Council having the opportunity to participate in-person at Town Hall or electronically. At this time, members of the public are encouraged to continue to view the meeting by watching the live stream. Should you wish to delegate to a Council meeting please complete the online delegation form by 12:00 p.m.

It may also be used to serve notice of Ontario Land Tribunal hearing.
