Statement from Mayor Krantz – Support and solidarity for Ukraine

Milton stands in solidarity with Ukraine and Milton’s Ukrainian community as they bravely face the unsanctioned and unprovoked Russian aggression. We cannot be silent in the face of this injustice and undemocratic invasion.

For over 130 years, Ukrainians have called Canada home and made enduring contributions to the cultural, political, social and economic life of our society and in Milton. We honour them and their contributions.

Milton Council was pleased to work with our local Ukrainian leaders to declare Sept. 7, 2021, as our first Ukrainian Heritage Day. Our relationship with Ukrainians in Milton is strong and will continue to strengthen and grow.
