This project is required to remove sediment from the fore bay of the pond located at 1030 Sprucedale Lane, and to complete the restoration of various deficiencies. Sediment removal is necessary to maintain pond function, ensure adequate quantity and quality control, and to provide environmental protection to our downstream receivers (Sixteen Mile Creek).

Enhancements include:

  • Sediment removal (fore bay only)

  • Concrete repairs (pond structures including inlet and ditch inlet catch basin)

  • Site grading repairs (pond banks)

  • Clearing and grubbing (remove excess vegetation)

Road closures

Beginning in early September until the end of October, Sprucedale Lane will be closed to traffic between Manley Lane\Dewar Court and Robarts Drive to ensure that the proposed construction works can be completely safely. Pedestrian access (including access to Sprucedale Park and mailboxes) will be maintained throughout construction.
