In accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, this is to advise that a virtual statutory public meeting has been scheduled by the Town of Milton’s Development Services Department for Draft Plan of Subdivision and a Zoning By-law Amendment for lands located at 8802, 8820, 8830, 8872 and 8880 Boston Church Road.

Application details

  • The subject lands are approximately 30.74 hectares in size and are located on the southwest corner of Boston Church Road and No. 5 Side Road.
  • The applicant has submitted applications for a Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision. The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject lands to permit site-specific additional uses and standards.
  • The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision includes one industrial block, one stormwater management pond block, one natural heritage system channel block and one road widening block.

The community is invited to virtually attend and/or participate in the statutory public meeting. You can fill out the delegate request form to participate. For assistance filling out the form, email us or call 905-878-7252 ext. 0. Forms must be submitted by noon on June 16, 2022.

If you miss the delegate request deadline, you can request to make an oral submission during the meeting by dialling in to the dedicated phone number at 1-866-511-0021.

Review the electronic delegate meeting guide submitting your request. Town staff will contact you with further instructions. You will be given step-by-step instructions on how to enter and participate in the meeting. Those who register during the course of a live meeting will not have the ability to provide on-screen presentations due to the absence of prescreening. All written submissions received will be forwarded to Council following the meeting.

If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the Zoning By-law amendment or receive a copy of the documents, you must email us or make a written request to the Town Clerk, 150 Mary St., Milton ON L9T 6Z5.

Legal notices required under the Planning Act

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Milton before the By-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of Milton Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Milton before the By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal, unless in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

Personal information is collected under the authority of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13 and may be contained in an appendix to a staff report, published in the meeting agenda, delegation list and/or the minutes of the public meeting and made part of the public record. The Town of Milton collects this information in order to make informed decisions on the relevant issues and to notify interested parties of Council’s decisions. It may also be used to serve notice of an Environmental and Land Tribunals Ontario hearing. Names and addresses contained in submitted correspondence and other information will be available to the public, unless the individual expressly requests the Town to remove their personal information. The disclosure of this information is governed by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M. 56.
