The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Milton passed By-law 009-2022 on Feb. 28, 2022 which adopted proposed Official Plan Amendment Number 70 under Sections 17(21), (22) and (23) of the Planning Act, R.S.0. 1990, c.P.13, as amended.

Purpose and effect of Official Plan Amendment Number 70

The purpose of to this Official Plan Amendment is to align existing policies and zoning provisions with the recommendations of the Milton Mobility Hub Study in conformity with Regional Official Plan Amendment No. 48. The effect is to ensure that the Town has an up-to-date, robust and relevant planning framework to guide the ongoing transformation of the area around Milton’s GO Station.

At this time, there are planning applications affected by this amendment. Local Official Plan Amendment Applications: LOPA-04/21, LOPA-05/21 and LOPA-08/21. Zoning By-law Amendment Applications: Z-08/21, 09/21 and Z-19/21.

All public comments received were considered in the decision rendered on this file.

Official Plan Amendment Number 70 requires approval of the Regional Municipality of Halton under subsection 17(23) of the Planning Act.  Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the decision of the approval authority if a written request to be notified of the decision is made to the approval authority.
