Financial Statements

If you filed a nomination form, you must file a financial statement with the Town Clerk by 2 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015.  This includes candidates who withdrew their nomination, candidates who were not certified and did not appear on the ballot, and candidates who were acclaimed.

If you have a deficit and want to extend your campaign to do additional fundraising, you must notify the clerk using the Notice of Extension of Campaign Period (Form 6) on or before Wednesday, December 31, 2014.  Because of the holiday closure of Town Hall, the last day to submit a Notice of Extension is Friday, January 2, 2015.

If you extend your campaign you are required to file an additional supplementary financial statement with the clerk by 2 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015.


All candidates who filed their nomination paper with the Town of Milton have been sent official notice of the filing requirements by registered mail.  Refund cheques for candidates who received in excess of 2 per cent of the votes cast were included in the mailing.

Voting day is the fourth Monday in October, Monday, October 22, 2018.
