Willmott Neighbourhood Park

Through the Town of Milton's Secondary Planning Process, the Town acquires parkland in new development areas to meet the recreational needs of the growing community. Park plans are developed based on the park type; a village square being the most local, up to larger neighbourhood, district and community-sized parks. Park plans are also developed based on both active and passive recreational needs, that are identified in the Town's Community Services Master Plan.

Willmott Neighbourhood Park will be a 2.1 hectare park that is located south of Derry Road and west of Bronte Road on Asleton Boulevard. The Town of Milton is working with the Developer of this subdivision to design and build this park. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2016, and the park is expected to open late in the fall of 2016.

Park features will include: a play area, shade pavilion, trees and planted areas, multi-purpose open space, an 18-space parking lot, seating areas, site furnishings, and lit pathways that extend beyond the park to multi-use trails throughout the neighbourhood.
